Orlando Venue shares thoughtful and beautiful details that create a special vibe for your wedding day.
It’s all in the details. Well. Let’s be honest; it is not ALL in the details. In the end, your wedding is truly about the love story that you both have created together with your moments leading to this special day where you are surrounded by all of your loved ones in one place to celebrate you. Let’s take that in for a moment. I read somewhere that a bride was reminded that this is the one and only day when all of the people who you love- and who love you- are all in one place together. This for me brought tears to my eyes. So while the details DO matter, this is a lovely reminder of our WHY.
The details are essentially the little things that create an overall tone and vibe for your day. We do know that “it’s the little things” actually speaks truth. The details include important pieces for the bride and groom to complete their look for the day as a whole, not just what they are wearing. Pieces to remember are things like, her dress, veil, shoes, important jewelry, special hankies, the perfect fragrance, something blue, a memento from a loved one, invitations, shoes- anything goes! Details include the style of font that you select from your seating chart or cocktail wall for cocktail hour. You will have tons of ideas that you have perhaps saved on Pinterest or seen in magazines and you work so hard to bring your vision to life. You don’t want to look back and wish that you had not selected certain things, so I encourage you to have fun and to enjoy the planning. Then come to a place when you know that it is time to let go and just enjoy where things are in the details.
SELECT ITEMS THAT SET THE VIBE FOR YOUR DAY.
Your photographer will compile all of the little things to create flat lays and all kinds of creative shots. So you will want to consider bringing your invitations on our wedding day which automatically set a tone. One of our weddings had potted herbs and used large tiles for chargers and their invitation below definitely offers this sort of feel with the water color of the building and the earthy tones used.
These photos will eventually be added to your wedding album that will tell the overall story of your day, so you may want to include florals or bring special items that you would love to add beside your invitations and rings. (Don’t forget your rings!) These photos become a highlight for you to look back on- you may look years later and say- “Oh my goodness! I really loved those shoes!” Or perhaps you see a bottle of the cologne that your HUSBAND was wearing on that day and you recall how good he smelled. Memories come rushing back through images so carefully select your details so that you can cherish the moments years later.
SELECT ITEMS THAT SHOW OFF YOUR PERSONALITY AND WHO YOU ARE
Don’t be afraid to show off how unique you two truly are. You are not like any other couple because there is only ONE of each of you. The details are a great way to offer a sense of who you are, whether it be with the use of classic black and white with elegant font for your invitations, or by choosing bold, bright colors with quirky wording and font. Are you more into structured floral or are you more of a wildflower, free-spirited, floral person. (I think it’s obvious the type of floral person who I am.) Painted champagne bottles in the bridal suite? Yes, please! Perhaps your husband to be wants the traditional tux or wants to be a little funkier with a handmade bow tie and suspenders. Regardless, it’s important to let your true colors shine so that they can be captured in photographs to last a lifetime and for generations to come.
IF FAMILY OR FRIENDS CANNOT MAKE IT, IT GIVES THEM A GLIMPSE INTO THE DAY
With the way that life goes, not all of your family and friends will be able to be there. By including unique details of your day, they will be able to get an idea for the overall feel of your wedding through the photographs that captures these details. For example, one of our couples brought in an antique dresser and filled it with beautiful pots and they had potted herbs throughout the cocktail area. Little details like these add personality and set a tone so that when captured in photos, whether a guest was present or not, they get an overall feel for the day.
HOW FUN WOULD It BE IF YOUR WEDDING GOT PUBLISHED?
So this is clearly not THE most important reason for honing in on all of the details, however, wouldn’t it be super cool to be featured in a magazine or on a blog? When couples have one of a kind details, they may be an inspiration for other couples who are planning their weddings. I think that it would be FAB if it were YOU who got published in a blog or a printed magazine.
As I shared previously, details DO matter. Once you choose where to put your energy and finances into the planning of details, it’s good to customize things to reveal who you are. Then when you wake up on your wedding day, it’s essential to let go and enjoy the journey. Set an intention to let go of perfection and take in all of the details and to focus on your love which is what ultimately matters most.
