Why choose Orlando?

Before we get into more details, let’s talk about why Orlando is the perfect spot for a bachelorette party?

  • Theme Park Adventures
  • Fun Nightlife
  • Close to Beaches
  • Delicious Cuisine Options

Step 1: Set a Date and Budget

Getting in touch with everyone in the bridal party to see what makes the most sense for them in regards to travel and expenses is an important part of planning a bachelorette party. After all, the purpose of the party is to celebrate our loved friend and bride-to-be.

Pro Tip:

If you are drawn to Orlando for the theme parks, it is important to pay attention to seasonal events that the parks may be hosting, such as Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios or EPCOT Food and Wine Festival. Perhaps this is something that draws you here, or maybe you may decide that these types of events are a good reason to avoid that particular time of year.

Step 2: Choose your Accommodations

You will want to select your accommodations according to the activities that you are choosing to do. For example, if you are including a day or two at one of the Disney Parks, you may considering staying on property or at one of the hotels near the parks. If you are looking for a more relaxing bachelorette party, you may opt for the JW Marriott so that you can float down the lazy river and enjoy the spa amenities that the Ritz Carlton has to offer. (By the way, I recently walked down the hallway near the spa area and the aromas that filtered around me made me want to go grab a massage stat.) If you are looking for accommodations near some fun night life, The Alfond Inn in Winter Park is an excellent choice as it is within walking distance to boutiques, yummy restaurants, and bars on Park Avenue. There is even an adorable art museum called the Morse Museum if you are art lovers.

This is where the fun begins! Orlando offers a lot of different activities so that all types of brides and her gal pals will be happy.

MUST DO ACTIVITIES IF YOU LIKE…

THEME PARKS

We are known worldwide for our theme parks, therefore for those seeking a bachelorette party that includes a visit to at least one of them, Orlando is a perfect spot.

  • Magic Kingdom is the iconic Disney park that has the good old classic rides, brand new rides, parades, and let’s not forget the fireworks. (Fun fact- you can get a glimpse of the fireworks from Lavender on the Lake!)
  • Epcot is a great place for a bit more of an adult experience and you are able to explore the world because of its international pavilions and futuristic attractions.
  • Universal Studios is an excellent choice for the thrill seeking bachelorette party with rides based on movies such as Jurassic Park and Harry Potter. You are sure to have a blast!

NON THEME PARK

  • Shop and nosh along Park Avenue in Winter Park. You can take a look here at my recent blog that mentions more things to do along Park Ave.
  • Take a boat tour through the everglades.
  • Watch a comedy show
  • Swim with the manatees.
  • Take a drive to Cocoa Beach for a beach day.

  • The Ritz-Carlton Spa which is located at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes offers numerous treatments that are sure to leave you feeling- and smelling- wonderful.
  • The Spa at Four Seasons located at the Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walk Disney World Resort is another great option for Florida inspired treatments.

BRUNCH/ DINING and DRINKS

  • Briar Patch on Park Avenue is a very favorite of mine! Not only can you begin your day branching, here, but as mentioned before you can shop and eat along the street.
  • The Hampton Social is always a good place for brunch and puts you in a fun part of town for
  • White Wolf Cafe offers a super yum Bloody Mary and delicious cinnamon rolls- don’t let your stomach do the talking because they are big and you will not want to leave a single crumb on your plate.  Isn’t far from Winter Park Village which has some fun shopping, as well.
  • Stubborn Mule in Lake Eola puts you in nice location to take a stroll around Lake Eola after enjoying breakfast and yes-you guessed it- a Moscow Mule
  • Cafe Tu Tu Tango has a lively atmosphere that is sure to be a good time with good food.
  • The Boathouse is the place to eat if you are looking for a Disney Springs kind of bachelorette night.
  • The scene at The Monroe offers a beautiful mix of old Florida with a modern twist and has delicious southern eats.
  • Prato on Park Avenue offers delicious pizza, gnocchi and other choices of pastas that will be sure to appeal to everyone in the group.

Step 4: Capture all the Memories

Don’t forget to take lots of pictures! Bringing a polaroid camera and putting someone different in charge every night ensures that everyone will be featured so that everyone has at least one photo to take home with them right away. Seeing an old polaroid photo in my wallet is always sure to bring a smile to my face! Be sure to create a group album so that you can all easily upload the photos in it after the trip.

Overall, when planning the bachelorette, be sure to balance fun activities with relaxation. The number one priority is for the bride to have an unforgettable time. I will never forget when one of my friends looked at me and said with 1 day left of her bachelorette party, “I don’t feel like we were wild enough. So I asked her what would turn things up a notch and she said- “I don’t know. Like maybe get a tattoo?” So several of us did! I’m not saying you need to get a tattoo to have a great time, but remembering to check in with the bride to be sure this trip is everything she imagined it to be is super important.

Have fun!!
